From a very young age I always loved art and drawing. My upbringing was in the very rough area of the Carmelitos projects in North Long Beach Ca. Where I happened to get caught up in the gang lifestyle which lead me to prison at the very young age of 15. I was sent to state prison in the year 1995 for armed robbery, there is where I found my talent of being a tattoo artist, as I was released in the year 2007 I began a new life and seeking something more out of life. Connect ink was just a thought one day when myself and wife were sitting on our porch and she asked “what would you want to do in life if you had a choice?” I replied “be a tattoo artist and 1 day own my very own tattoo shop”. Little did I know that is where my journey into building Connect Ink all started and I decided to change my life for the better. So I found myself with a purpose and something I loved to do. I opened my shop in 2016 with hopes of just making enough money to get by, we have now been open 7 years and I also have a goal of being the first artist to open up my very own Tattoo training facility. I now have 20 + years experience and knowledge that I hope to be able to share with you all. Today life is amazing and I’m very proud of the turnaround I made of my life. Connect ink comes from the word Connecting so that’s how I came up with my shop NA,w and slogan connecting through ink because I have connected with so many people from all walks of life and I understand and respect the fact that I was able to give them something everlasting and beautiful that would also connect us for a lifetime. I’m so grateful for the support and love I have been given by you all and my appreciation runs deep. We are the very 1st tattoo shop to open in the city of Bellflower ca. And that’s a fact that nobody can ever take from us. I hope and plan to be open for another 20 years with the blessings from the man who has made this all possible.
